My name is Valerie Hulsey and I am proud to be the 2010-2011 President of the Valley of the Moon Rotary Club. We just celebrated our 10th Anniversary here in beautiful Oakmont and we are very proud of our achievements over the years.
There are too many to list here but to name just a few:
St. Joseph's Mobile Health Unit is subsidized by our club
Many members have volunteered their time and talents to help the girls at Sierra Youth Center establish an entrepreneurial vegetable and cut flower garden
Six annual scholarships are awarded each year
We help support Roots of Peace who remove land mines and reclaim land for agricultural uses
We contribute to Nothing but Nets to provide nets for malaria control
We invite anyone who is interested in learning more about Rotary to join us at one of our meetings on Fridays at the Quail Inn in Oakmont. Buffet breakfast starts at 7:00 and the meeting starts at 7:30.
